An exhilarating look into the mind of a misunderstood genius.
Leonard Nimoy on Vincent
BACKGROUND
Vincent opened in Los Angeles at the V.S. Theater late 2012. The One-Man Show enjoyed three extensions,
a 14-week sold out run and across the board excellent reviews. The production moved to the North Coast
Repertory Theater in San Diego for a sold out engagement in 2013 and, by popular demand, returned
for two additional limited runs.
Vincent, with the steadfast support of author Leonard Nimoy, traveled to New York for a sold out engagement
at the Thalia Theater at Symphony Space, followed by various regional engagements in the U.S in 2014.
In 2015, we were proud to help commemorate the 125th anniversary of Van Gogh’s death with the French language
Premiere in Paris, France at the renowned Ciné XIII theatre. The show was embraced by reviewers and audiences
alike and was nominated for Best Actor and Best Author at the Petits Molières, the French Tony awards for small theatres.
Vincent then returned to LA for a sold out run at the Center for the Arts of Performance at UCLA at the Freud Playhouse.
Vincent had two amazing runs at the Avignon theater Festival in 2017 and 2018, being bought by many theaters across France.
The play has been touring internationally in English and French ever since.
Tremendous word of mouth and wonderful reviews (Vincent garnered a 100% rating on LA based aggregate reviewer
Bitter Lemons) contributed to the show's success.
Throughout the play, more than a hundred of Van Gogh's paintings are projected on a framed screen,
providing a rich overview of the artist's work and a visual complement to the unfolding story.
